Description

Soft, fluffy, and zesty, these homemade orange rolls are the perfect sweet treat for brunch or cozy mornings.


Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough:

500 g all-purpose flour

1 packet instant yeast (7 g)

200 ml warm milk

70 g sugar

2 eggs

80 g soft butter

1 pinch salt

For the Filling:

70 g melted butter

100 g sugar

Zest of 2 oranges

1 tbsp orange juice

For the Glaze:

100 g powdered sugar

12 tbsp orange juice

1 tsp zest (optional)


Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.

2. Add eggs and warm milk. Mix and knead until smooth.

3. Add butter and knead for 10 minutes until elastic.

4. Let rise for 90 minutes in a warm place.

5. Mix filling ingredients in a small bowl.

6. Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread filling.

7. Roll into a log and slice into 12 pieces.

8. Place rolls in a baking dish. Let rise 45 minutes.

9. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes.

10. Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle on warm rolls.

Notes

Make ahead: You can refrigerate shaped rolls overnight.

Add dried cranberries or cardamom for flavor variations.

Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat before serving.
